Ingredients needed
All of the ingredients you need to make this recipe are shown in the photo, they are all simple and easy to find! (Including the sauce ingredients!).
As you can see the recipe calls for:
- bacon (can use rashers, streaky or fillets)
- hamburger buns (I am using multigrain, white rolls)
- lettuce
- tomatoes
- sauce
For this burger, I recommend using my Horseradish Yogurt Sauce. It is a creamy white sauce that is not 'too sweet' and gives the bacon a nice 5 high compliment in passing!
Alternative sauces that might make your mouth water are the Mustard Yogurt Sauce, Spicy Yogurt Sauce or Herbed Yogurt Sauce.
Step by step instructions
Here are the step by step instructions to make the recipe.
We start by cooking the bacon in a fry pan. I recommend using a non stick pan and you don't need any oil as the bacon has enough fat that will ensure it doesn't stick to the pan!
- fry the bacon for 3-4 mins till crispy (Photo 1)
- assemble all of the burger ingredients and begin layering (Photo 2)
Once the bacon is cooked, I recommend using paper towel to soak up any grease - this will also ensure that our burgers are not soggy!
If you want to add an egg, by all means do so and check out the Fried Egg Burger for tips and tricks to achieve that!
In the photo above, you can see what your burger will look like as you bring it all together!
It really is a simple combination, loaded with flavour and will kick your hunger to the curb!
You can choose to serve the burgers with hash browns as shown in the photo below, this works especially well on the weekends for breakfast!
If you want to indulge a little, you might like to whip up some Air Fryer Frozen Onion Rings, Mexican Fries or Air Fryer Potato Cubes to go on the side!

Try adding caramelised onions, melted cheese, pickles, a beef patty, beetroot, relish, avocado or egg for a loaded burger!
