Raspberry Oat Smoothie for breakfast on Sweet Caramel Sunday!
This bright and colourful smoothie combines oats, frozen raspberries, banana, almond milk and greek yoghurt. It will keep you fuller for longer and is a great way to start the day.
This smoothie combination came in part from a topic that I touched on recently in my Raspberry Chia Pudding recipe. I spoke of how I was having a few serves of fruit in my morning smoothies, but after further thoughts about sugar, proteins and carbohydrates, I realised that I could change things up a little and come up with a different kindof smoothie combination that would keep me full and have a good balance between the serves of fruit and the other ingredients.
My Raspberry Oat Smoothie is very tasty and you can meal prep it ahead of time, so in the mornings, you can grab it and go.
This is as easy as adding your oats, yoghurt and sliced banana to a blender jug before bed and then adding your almond milk and frozen raspberries to this mix in the morning. Then you can either blend and drink on the way to work or when you get there.
Moving through the week
Today is hump day (otherwise known as Wednesday) and I know that one of the things that keeps me going is being able to start the day in a healthy way, but with a bit of variety so that boredom doesn’t sink in.
I am the 1st to admit that I have gone weeks in a row making Green Smoothies with spinach, mango and coconut water to kick off the day. However, this Raspberry Oat Smoothie has fast become a winter favourite as I am sure it will for you and your family too!
It is like having a beautiful dream all in one meal. The combination of these ingredients works and you can recreate that beautiful taste over and over again. Not to mention the pretty pink colour of the smoothie.
My recommendation is you go and grab the ingredients and make yourself a Raspberry Oat Smoothie today!
So let’s get the recipe….
