- 3 tablespoon horseradish cream Note 1
- 8 slices roast beef cut into 3-4 smaller pieces
- 5 slices swiss cheese cut into 4 smaller pieces
- 10 slider buns
Honey Mustard Glaze
- 40 grams/ 3 tablespoon butter unsalted
- 1 tbs honey
- 1 tbs dijon mustard
- ½ tbs sesame seeds
Preheat the oven: preheat the oven to 180°C / 350-375°F / Gas Mark 4-5.
Mini bread rolls: use a knife and chopping board to cut each slider bun in half.
Horseradish: spread a layer of horseradish cream on both the base and top (inside) of each cut bun.
Cheese: place a piece of the sliced swiss cheese on top of the horseradish layer for each bun.
Close: close the sliders by placing the top bun onto the cheese layer to complete them. Then transfer them to a silicon baking mat over a wire baking mat and tray.
Glaze: add the butter to a heatproof jug and melt using 20 seconds increments in the microwave. Once melted add the honey, mustard, sesame seeds and whisk to combine. Use a pastry brush to coat each slider in the glaze.
Oven bake: place the baking tray into the oven and let the sliders bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Once they are cooked, use an oven mit to remove the baking tray and set it onto a heat proof surface. Let them cool for 1 to 2 minutes and then transfer them to a serving plate.
- Note 1 Horseradish cream: this is a condiment that you will find in the supermarket where the mustard and pickles are. It is pale cream in colour and will be labelled 'horseradish cream'.
- Portion size: this depends on how many sliders you want to serve per person. 1-2 is a general rule of thumb. If however, you have these in mind for a dinner recipe, traditionally 3 sliders are served with a small salad and fries.
