- 200 gram/8 oz wheel camembert cheese Note 1
- ⅓ cup honey Note 2
- 3 strawberries tops trimmed, chopped into small pieces
- 3 tablespoon slivered almonds
- crackers to serve
Preheat your oven to 180°C / 350-375°F / Gas Mark 4-5.
Camembert: remove cheese from fridge, open and discard packaging and place in the centre of a lined baking tray.
Oven bake: place baking tray into the oven (middle rack) and allow to bake for 10 mins. Then use 2 oven mits to remove baking tray from the oven, rest on a heat proof surface and slide a silicon flat turner under the cheese so you can transfer it to a serving platter.
Top with honey: pour the honey over the top of the camembert, use the back of a teaspoon to spread it out into a layer.
Add additional toppings: top the honey layer with the chopped strawberries, followed by slivered almonds. Then sprinkle the rosemary leaves on top.
Serve and enjoy: provide crackers and a cheese knife for serving.
- Note 1 - Camembert: there will be a slight variation of sizes across supermarkets. That range is from about 200 grams (8 ounces) to 1 kg (2.2 pounds). For larger wheels, you will need more of the topping quantities, but for most similar size wheels, the quantities specified will be fine.
- Note 2 - Honey: use a teaspoon (flipped over) to help spread this out on top of the camembert. Don't worry if some of the honey flows down the sides of it, that is all part of the fun!
