- 4 granny smith apples
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 60 ml apple cider vinegar
- ½ lemon
Dissolve sugar: add apple cider vinegar and brown sugar to a saucepan, turn to a medium heat and stir till sugar is dissolved.
Prepare apples: use a knife, chopping board and grater to peel apples, core and cut into small pieces
Combine: once sugar is dissolved, add apple pieces, place lid on saucepan and allow to come to the boil (approx 10 mins)
Blitz: remove lid, use a skewer to test that apple is soft, then turn stove off and remove from heat, Use a stick blender to blitz into a smooth sauce.
