Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 700 grams chicken wings (drumettes) Note 1
  • 2 tablespoon dry rub (chicken seasoning)
  • spray olive oil

Instructions

  • Turn the air fryer on to 180°C/350 F for 30 mins (preheat prior if model requires it)
  • Use paper towel to pat chicken wings dry.
  • Add chicken wings to a zip lock bag, sprinkle over dry rub, seal the bag and massage the rub over and around each wing
  • Spray the basket of the Air Fryer with olive oil
  • Use kitchen tongs to place the wings in one flat layer (they can touch, but don't stack them)
  • Cook the wings for 10 mins, pull the basket out, place on a heat proof surface, use kitchen tongs to flip the wings, return the basket to the Air Fryer and cook for a further 15-20 mins
  • Serve with Cilantro Lime Yogurt Sauce (optional, but delicious!)

Notes

  • Note 1 9 out of10 times when I am making wings, I purchase the nibblets (pre cut wings). I like wings as they are smaller than breast or thighs and they are more 'snack/appetizer' like. You can use the whole wing, but you will need to work in batches to cook them.
  • Note nutritional info for the recipe is based on 1 wing.
